Easter at SJVC Visalia
SJVC SIFE and PT Club students Raised Funds to provide Easter Eggs and an Easter egg hunt for The Spirit of Women House in Fresno, CA. Over one thousand Eggs were filled with Goodies for Children of ALL ages. The hunt was divided into various age groups, from 0-3yrs, 4-7yrs, 8-older, and Adult. Each age group had age appropriate toys and goodies, even feminine items for the women living in the transitional house.
Hundreds of mothers and their children have been coming to Spirit of Woman for help and healing since 2000. The Central Fresno facility is a safe haven from their former chaotic lives of drug and alcohol abuse.
The Easter Egg Hunt was not only fun for SJVC Students, but it also gives the house hope, that people in the community still care about them, and want to help them become productive members of society.
(The event was led by SJVC Club advisors: David Morra, Kathleen Self and Leigh Chavarria)
