Lancaster Easter Egg Hunt
Friday, March 29th, Lancaster campus held their first annual Easter Egg Hunt. Students and their families were invited to celebrate this holiday with SJVC, joining in games and crafts. Families enjoyed good company and conversation over homemade breakfast served by the staff. Ms. Elizabeth O’Connell, Lancaster Student Center Coordinator, had an assortment of crafts for the little ones. Activities ranging from beading bracelets and making egg carton duckies to face painting.
The Easter Bunny even made a special appearance, taking pictures with children. Although there was a hint of fear in some of the youngest of the bunch, the kids were happy to pose with the bunny for cute pictures for their parents; even if it did take a little coaxing for some.
The main event, the egg hunt, was a time for children to be set free to explore and get as many eggs in their basket as they could. There was even a promise of prize for children who got one of the three special starred eggs. With children searching for the eggs, students enjoyed seeing the kids happy and ready for the task. The parking lot arena for the egg toss proved to be a chance for students and family to show off their throwing and partnership skills. Not only wanting to win just for the bragging rights, but also wanting a chance to win the $15 dollar gift cards, valuable for school supplies.
With their duckies and Easter prizes in tow, students and family concluded with a group photo to remember the day. After all the pictures, the group was set off to be with family for this special holiday weekend.
