San Joaquin Valley College, Inc. signs agreement to acquire Carrington College
San Joaquin Valley College, Inc. is pleased to announce that it has signed an agreement to acquire Carrington College from Adtalem Global Education. We intend to keep Carrington College as a separate education entity, with its existing name, allied health programs, campuses and team. The transaction requires accreditor and regulatory approvals before it is complete, which is expected later this year or early 2019. When approved, we look forward to working with and serving Carrington College staff, faculty and students.
San Joaquin Valley College (SJVC) and Carrington College are highly aligned in our career-focused programs, high-quality regionally accredited education, and long history of serving local students. We teach similar certificate and associate of science degree programs in healthcare-focused fields, though in mostly different geographic areas. Our programs offer the right balance of hands-on training and classroom instruction to prepare students for success in their chosen career. In addition, SJVC and Carrington are both accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges, Western Association of Schools and Colleges; and both began as family-owned and operated colleges.
