SJVC Fresno’s Surgical Technology program receives Continuing Accreditation from CAAHEP and ARC/STSA
SJVC is pleased to share that the Fresno Surgical Technology program has earned Continuing Accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).
CAAHEP’s official letter to SJVC states that the “recent peer review conducted by the Accreditation Review Council on Education in Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (ARC/STSA) and CAAHEP’s Board of Directors recognizes the program’s substantial compliance with the nationally established accreditation standards.”
The next evaluation of Fresno’s Surgical Tech program will take place by 2027.
“This is a great result after a long and arduous process for the Fresno campus/program staff!” said Greg Osborn, Director of Program Compliance for SJVC’s Central Administrative Office. “Stacy Oliva, SJVC Fresno’s Surgical Technology Program Director, and the team really owned this and certainly put in the ‘sweat and tears’ to achieve this coveted outcome.”
SJVC also offers the Surgical Technology program on the Bakersfield campus, which earned the same Continuing Accreditation status as the Fresno program in 2009.
