Here’s what some of you had to say about this special time:
Last week, all my hard work finally paid off. Every bad thing that happened to me in my lowest of lows brought me right here to this moment. You could’ve told me a year ago I would be graduating college with a 4.0, perfect attendance, and be given the “Best in Program” award and I would’ve laughed in your face. Every wrong decision, bad choice of friends and mistakes I’ve made all turned into me becoming who I was always supposed to be. My apologies for writing a novel, but for the first time in my life I’m genuinely proud of myself, and I am super grateful for the most amazing people I have in my life supporting me. – Kaylie, SJVC Lancaster, Medical Office Administration graduate
I love seeing my Cadets grow and learn. Each one of them takes a little piece of my heart when they leave, but they also leave a little piece of themselves in my heart. – Cynthia Kidd, SJVC Hesperia, Criminal Justice: Corrections Instructor
It’s been almost 3 years since I graduated from SJVC Bakersfield and, to me, it feels like it was just yesterday. I’m still working at the same job site where I did my externship. Thanks to all the wonderful staff and teachers that helped me to get where I’m at today. – Michelle Sanchez, SJVC Bakersfield, 2014 Medical Assistant graduate
