San Joaquin Valley College offers an extensive Clinical Medical Assisting program in Ontario, California. In as little as 9 months, you can learn medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and administrative skills and procedures.

Dental hygienists focus on a patient’s oral care under the supervision of a dentist. Their day-to-day routine may include cleaning patients’ teeth, taking x-rays, and delivering other exams for signs of oral damage or disease. At SJVC, we focus on preventive and therapeutic oral health care services, which allows students to grasp all aspects of dental hygiene.

Pharmacy technicians are involved with a lot of medical personnel, including healthcare professionals, doctors, pharmacists, insurance companies, and patients.Â
Their duties may include:
- Mixing pharmaceuticalsÂ

- Processing prescriptions from medical facilities
- Handling inventory of prescription and in-store medications

The Veterinary Technology program at San Joaquin Valley College is designed to provide hands-on training for entry-level positions in animal healthcare.Â

Business Office Administration
If you are ready to start a new career in the field of business but aren’t sure where to start, then consider pursuing an Associate Degree in business office administration. Office assistants work directly with CEOs, HR specialists, department managers, and other employees in an office setting.
SJVC’s Business Office Administration program in Ontario allows students to learn computer software programs, such as Microsoft Office, as well as take courses in bookkeeping, customer service, and marketing. By knowing these technical skills, you may be able to get an entry-level job in several high-demand industries.

Construction managers typically regulate and handle various building projects from start to finish. They are responsible for creating work schedules, monitoring project budgets, and ensuring safety guidelines are being followed every day. Our Construction Management program in Ontario teaches students to plan, lead and oversee the building process. Students successfully completing the CON 142 course (on-ground only) will also have the opportunity to receive an OSHA 10-Hour Construction Outreach Training Completion Card.
